When you think of Onomichi, you inevitably think of Senkoji Temple, but Tenneiji Temple, which is located along the way, is also recommended. I went under the railroad tracks from the shopping street and climbed the stone steps, but it didn't really feel like a railway bridge, it felt more like a hollow space under the railroad tracks that was meant to be passed through. If you look back from the entrance of the temple, you will see the cityscape of Onomichi, although it is only a little elevated. The 500 Arhats were also a masterpiece, and I highly recommend you to come and see them.

I visited on GW5/5, just after 3pm on a sunny day. After getting off the Neko-no-Hosomichi path, I was given a guide and decided to take a short detour and visit, but in the end I ended up visiting the most memorable and wonderful temple I visited in Onomichi (this temple also has a magnificent three-storied pagoda). I didn't go to Saikokuji and Jikoji...next time! The garden was very well-kept, and the shrine was magnificent with beautiful paintings on the sliding doors.If the 500 Arhats are so amazing, why aren't they more famous? I was surprised. After visiting the shrine, I went down from the front and looked back to see the train tracks and Tenneiji Temple, which looked amazing...I took a photo right away lol thank you very much.

Compared with Senkoji Temple, it is quite quiet and quiet. The main hall and Arhat Hall of the temple can be opened freely to enter and worship (requiring keeping quiet). During the cherry blossom season, the weeping cherry blossoms and Yoshino cherry blossoms in the garden are quite beautiful.
