The hotel is worth visiting for the myriad of art that litters every nook and cranny of the building, each piece uniquely crafted by a master artisan. The room was large and comfortable and included a sauna. The hotel staff was fastidious and welcoming. The executive lounge had a decent selection of tasty snacks and drinks. Make sure to check out the adjoining museum and the art tour.

A very nice hotel. Full of arts. One can take lots of photos. The only regret is that I did not get there early enough to attend their Art tour which is only available early morning on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. One nice benefit is the free shuttle bus that run between the hotel and the train station (黑目） every 20 minutes. We booked executive suites for 2 nights and have a great stay. We were surprised that there is steam room in the big bath room. This is the first time we find a steam room inside a hotel suite.

One of the most beautiful hotels in the area. Waterfalls, Koi ponds and intricate murals. Enjoy afternoon tea at the restaurant. A favorite wedding venue, so many opportunities to see couples dressed in traditional kimono

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The hotel is beautiful, truly a work of art. We had a Japanese Modern room was was huge with a tatami mat with table and chairs and at night, a bed was made for my son there. The bathroom had a great jacuzzi and steam sauna which were very relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Service was truly exceptional, from reception to breakfast to the evening turndown service. The lounge was terrific with such great service and a good variety of food and drinks, including many Japanese wines. Be sure to visit the 100 steps historical rooms which you get a 50% discount on if staying at the hotel. I also want to note that the hotel pays attention to the details. As an example, we are a family of three and many times when we travel, the room still has only accessories for 2 even though we list 3 people in the room. Here, we had 3 sets of slippers, pajamas, robes, toothbrushes, etc all fully prepared and ready for us without having to ask. Finally, I want to note that the location is very good. Some reviews say it is not convenient which concerned me, but we found the location to be very easy to get around all of Tokyo. It is a short 5 minute walk to Meguro station which has three lines running through it. The hotel also has a shuttle to both Meguro and Shinagawa stations.

Ren zhao

Hotel Gajoen Tokyo presents traditional Japanese culture in various ways. Definitely one of the best hotel in the city. May not be located in the center of the city, but it offers unparalleled room size and a mixture of traditional and modern architectural designs. Love this place!
