You can enjoy freshly caught bonito. It is the freshest bonito in Japan. (It's a bit of an exaggeration (lol) but it's still refreshing) There is a proper donburi menu, but the best option is to buy sashimi and make your own original bowl.

I tried bonito handling at Insha-no-Eki. It is 3000 yen per person including lunch. I was looking forward to cleaning the fish that had been caught that day, but on the day of the experience there were no boats out due to strong winds, so I was told that the fish had been caught the day before. disappointing,,, If you make a reservation for 2 people to try out the fish handling experience, there will be 2 bonito prepared, one for the teacher and the other for the experience, so the other person will not be able to handle one. One person could barely hold a knife from the fence, so I guess it was enough for just one person to experience it. That's what I thought. There were no boats sailing that day, so the fish shop was closed, but the place is usually crowded with locals who come to buy fish. The restaurant was open on this day as well, and was crowded with tourists and locals.

Every time I went to Miyakojima, Mr. Ichiwa would drop me off, but this time I had him drop me off at this place, which was right in front of me! It was delicious, and you can get local food at a reasonable price, so I'd like to visit again!

It looks small, but once you step inside, it's crowded with people buying sashimi. I enter through the entrance and use the shop in the back called ``Ikei'', and the female staff who is always there are friendly and personable. The way they cut the fish is so cool! (*^^*)
