Maruhiro, the Sumibiyaki Jingisukan restaurant, is a hidden gem situated in a quiet back alley off the main Yamate Street. Although it has been open for only about two years, its cozy atmosphere, together with the owner’s passion and affection, makes it a popular spot.
The specialty of the house is the freshly grilled top-quality lamb 'Suffolk', which is shipped directly from a farm in Hokkaido. The juicy and tender texture grilled perfectly by the owner himself offers a new delightful charm of lamb. In addition, there are exquisite vegetables, pickles, and cold noodles to complement the meal.
The small interior with around eight counter seats lets guests enjoy a relaxed time enveloped in the aroma of charcoal. The friendly personality of the owner, Mr. Otaki, combined with delicious meals and engaging conversations, offers a unique dining experience.
The nearest station is a 3-minute walk from Fudomae Station, located in a quiet residential area off the Meguro Fudō intersection. The restaurant operates from 6 PM to 10 PM, making it suitable for visiting at dinner time. Although it's not entirely reservation-based, there might be a wait depending on the crowd.
In a small retreat away from the metropolitan hustle, 'Maruhiro' offers freshly grilled premium lamb directly delivered from Hokkaido. Come and enjoy the premium space filled with the aroma of charcoal and the heartfelt grilled lamb by the master chef.
