A breathtaking observation deck guarded by a mystical bird

The mythical bird Sashiba soaring high in the sky

Once there was an observation deck inspired by the legendary bird Sashiba. Its enormous wings elegantly overlooked the vast blue sea and islands. Although it has disappeared over time, its mystical presence is still being talked about.

Guardian of the departure

Fuunausagibanata is the island's word for "cape seeing off the ship". The islanders have always watched over the departure of their loved ones from this cape. Like accompanying people on a distant journey, the wings of the Sashiba must have spread across the vast sky.

Surrounded by the natural scenic beauty

Although the Sashiba has disappeared, the charm of this place has not faded. The blue sea, white clouds, and green islands. You will be captivated by the vast panorama that stretches as far as the eye can see. Sometimes you might even catch a glimpse of a sea turtle.

A ray of light in the memories of the journey

The scenery changes with the weather, and encounters with wild cranes. The invaluable moments experienced at Fuunausagibanata will surely add sparkle to your journey.

The bird is gone now unfortunately 😭 It's still a relatively good scenic spot. You can get a good view of the ocean and the coast along the north part of the Shimojishima island.

The bird is gone 😔 The view is nice though. We came here again at night to go stargazing. You could see so many stars and the milky way. On our way we saw many wildlife, like crabs crossing the road.

OK point of view but not the best on the island. If you are passing around it worth it. Note that they removed the big bird. People said he has flown away…. POETIC.

The Bird head is no more, its a broken structure. You can go if u have time to see from the deck atleast.
