Experience authentic Chinese cuisine at a ramen shop with the elegance of Kyoto

The 'Rairai-tei Uzumasa store' in the tranquil residential area of Uzumasa is a ramen shop that boasts the unique elegance of Kyoto and the charming Chinese cuisine. It has the same traditional taste since its establishment, and a warm space.

Wrapped in the nostalgic taste

As you step inside the store, you will be enveloped in a calm atmosphere of brick construction. With a focus on counter seats and also prepared for Japanese-style tatami seats, a spacious and relaxing space spreads out. Opening the menu, you will be drawn to not only the standard soy sauce and miso ramen, but also unique dishes such as pork kimchi and grilled pork.

The familiar soy sauce ramen has an exquisite taste where the rich soup and chewy medium-thick straight noodles intertwine. The finely chopped Kujo green onions are also carefully calculated, reminding us of the flavor of old-fashioned Chinese soba.

Exquisite dish that showcases the traditional skills of Kyoto

Ive been in Japan almost 2 weeks and this is, by far, the best ramen I’ve had. Friendly service. Easy to read menu. Fast and really delicious. And we came upon this place by accident!

This is my favorite ramen shop in all of Kyoto. I brought people to try the red miso ramen and I never had one person not like it. Perfect amount of spicy. So so good I miss it everyday.

You might find them little too oily, if you are health-concerned with your diet. The food is much like fast food in here. They serve very fast.
