For my first visit, I came to the usual Yakuen Hachiman Shrine. It is my guardian deity, and it is a shrine with a long history. The head office has a plaque with Ono Komachi's face on it, which is very atmospheric. Thank you for your continued support this year.

It was a warm, early spring day. I was drawn to the large ginkgo tree in the temple grounds. According to the people at the shrine, about 20 years ago they put concrete inside the ginkgo tree to prevent it from collapsing. I did it with. Despite this, the branches and leaves were magnificent. Thank you for sharing some ginkgo with me. It was delicious.

The old lady who loves to talk is very kind to me. There are also anecdotes about how shrines were built, and stories about how lanterns escaped iron collection during the Pacific War. With photos in hand, he happily talks about how there are symbols of male and female guardian dogs on both sides, and about the paintings on the sliding doors of the main shrine, making it a fun and emotional experience. It's nice to just get a red stamp, but listening to anecdotes will give you a deeper understanding of shrines and temples. There is no harm in connecting it to something different. As humans, we want to understand a lot of shrines that hold their hearts out.

It's a place where you can just drop by and it's hard to believe that this is a shrine founded in the Nara period. It is said that it existed before the castle town of Koriyama was founded. When I went to the New Year's shrine visit, someone who appeared to be my wife called out to me and said, ``Amazake please.'' thank you.
