A relatively new yet small hotel, Grand Base Nagasaki Ekimae offers a comfortable room equipped with amenities suitable for families and travel groups at an affordable price. The main reason why I'd recommend this hotel is for its convenient location.

The room is neat and clean, equipped with all the amenities that u need. There is a washing machine and dryer available in the building. The only sad part about the hotel is that u have to carry the luggage and climb the staircase. Overall is good. Highly recommended

Location of the hotel is very good. It's just 2 min walk from Nagasaki bus station. The room was very tidy and huge (in Japan, it's a huge room). Aircond is working well and I love the bathroom. Huge bathtub! Take note you have to self check in. The hotel will send an email to you 3 days before your check in and you just need to register ahead. There's no one in the hotel. So plan ahead! It's a really nice place to stay. But there's a short hike (slope) before you reach the hotel.

I didn't receive the check-in email, so after arriving at the hotel, I had to call and find out how to unlock the entrance and how to check in. Going out felt like leaving home and was comfortable. I stayed in a triple room for two nights, and there were beds for three people, so I was able to spend a relaxing time. There are many restaurants in the surrounding area, so you can enjoy Nagasaki's nightlife. It was a convenient location for shopping as it was within walking distance of Nagasaki Station and Amu Plaza. There is no parking available at the hotel.
