We arrived into an empty restaurant and were given a table for 2 easily (pretty quiet so didnt think much of it). Simple menu given and order taken. The server said the tempura was bigger as a portion than it actually came so ordered a sake, beer, tempura and 9 piece sushi. Tempura was smaller and average, sushi was a mixed bag, some good, some ok. Asked for the bill which arrived at 8000yen. Thankfully still had the menu so queried it as it was higher than calculated (despite the 10%tax addition!) I showed the server the calculations were wrong..they had added an extra 500yen. She then checked again and called her senior colleague/manager who stalled, then double/triple checked then told me (via google translate). Essentiallyi was getting charged extra because of the "time of eating", which wasnt even an issue anywhere else, especially as we were the only ones there initially and they had not disclosed this. This made no sense and she was unable to elaborate. The place was half empty and only started filling up as we were leaving. There was no queue of people waiting so it wasnt busy enough to justify this. We said we would pay for what we ate, not an inflated amount because we are foreigners/tourists. She was clearly flustered as she wasnt expecting to get caught out. No real apology. Its a matter of principle and honesty! I did notice the menu and service to the locals was different to us as foreigners. It is such a shame to have experience blatant raciscm/and deception in this environment The photos below are proof of the treatment and really poor practice and behaviour/attitude towards us a foreigners/tourists. WOULD RECOMMEND AVOIDING THIS PLACE AS THE FOOD WAS OK, SERVICE WAS SHOCKINGLY POOR (AS IS THE ATTITUDE AND SERVICE). There are better places to eat nearby and i wish we had walked past this place and missed it, would have had a much better dining experience!

Pretty great sushi and sashimi. Some unique items on the menu. Fresh bamboo was delicious. Try the fugu shu, it's sake with dried, burnt fugu fin.

🍣Sushi Kyu🍣 This is Sushiku, located in Susukino, Sapporo City! ! It's my first visit♪ It's a spacious, modern Japanese-style restaurant with counter seats and tatami mats. The winner of what I received that day was sea urchin🏆 It was so delicious I had to refill it😂 The others were delicious too! The red vinegar sushi is also the best! Although it's not pictured, the stingray fin on the skewer was so piping hot that I was surprised! 😂It was delicious~🫶🏻 Thank you for the best Sapporo dinner 💕

This is part of a photo of a course meal that cost 10,000 yen per person, but if you eat it in Ginza, Roppongi or Akasaka, where the food is fresh and unrivaled, it would cost 50,000 yen. The freshness of the seafood is so different that even in high-end sushi restaurants in Sapporo, the prices are affordable and the best 😭👏✨If you can eat this level of food, you can't help but wonder how high-end restaurants in Tokyo are expensive just because of the atmosphere. I can't help but laugh, thinking that the food served by the chef is just expensive and second-rate. When I eat at local sushi restaurants, I get the feeling that the reason major conveyor belt sushi chains and sushi restaurants in Hokkaido have not been able to expand their business is because they cannot provide enough ingredients to satisfy the taste buds of Hokkaido residents. Yo.

Not only was the owner a nice person, but both the ingredients and the sushi were great 🍣 This is a store I would like to visit again when I go to Hokkaido.
