Located close to the center of Fukui City, Ketani Kokuryu Shrine is affectionately called 'Kurotatsu-san' by locals. Known as one of Fukui's top power spots, it attracts numerous visitors.
The main deity of Ketani Kokuryu Shrine, the Black Dragon Deity, oversees water, the fundamental element of human life. Established as the guardian deity of the Kuzuryu River, it is considered one of the Four Great Deities of ancient Japan and is said to grant the power to ward off evil spirits.
