A solid 3 stars from me. Our room was clean and very comfortable with more space than is usual. (The lighting is a bit dim for reading.) Service was friendly and appropriate and the location is convenient. The hotel feels a little dated which in some ways has charm and in other ways could do with refreshing. The included buffet dinner was good without being exceptional. We did not try the heated bathing or the breakfast. There was an empty outdoor pool which might be nice in summer. The contents of the cleaning area and equipment were often unnecessarily on display and as it was an untidy area, it was a poor look.

Pros: The "hotel" is on Miyajima There is a lock on the door The shower is functional 2 free bottles of water are included Cons: Literally every surface in the room is either covered in mold or dust Walls are paper thin and your noisy neighbors will be up past midnight Onsens are so unclean they are unusable. The water is cold. Can you even call it an onsen? Very unfriendly staff Trivia: Wonder why you woke up itchy after sleeping in this "hotel"? Is it because: A. The body soap provided is basically dish detergent B. You've been bitten by unknown insects C. You've contracted hepatitis Trick question, the answer is all three. Don't stay here. I would rather sleep in a sewer than spend another night in this rundown, disease-ridden, and comfort-less shack.

A short walk from the port, but amazing. We had a room with an in room hot tub(onsen type) and the room was comfortable and large. The dinner was amazing as well. Very great place to stay and visit the local sights.

We spent two nights in this resort. For a 3 stars it was really awful. First of all the room : dust and stains everywhere. We found a huge cockroach in the main room. There was hair in the bedsheets and in the bathtub. And we could hear every noise coming from the hallway as if the people were in the room. Then the restaurant was mediocre. Most of the food was cold and not very tasty (even the supposedly hot items). The staff wasn't speaking English so thanks Google translate. Plus they didn't seem to be able to answer any of our questions. Be careful, they don't tell you this but you have to pay an extra fee for hot water (600 yens). Except the location, everything was disappointing. Honestly, if you have a choice, don't go there. Worst experience since we've arrived in Japan...

It’s a lovely hotel to look at, but that’s where the fun stops. The walls are way too thin. You can hear next doors and outside all the chirping and commotion. I stayed here for two nights and wasn’t able to get a good nights sleep due to all the noise. A note there’s frogs outside that basically make noises throughout the entire night. If sleep is what you’re after, I’d avoid this place m. I assume a resort would be better, but when complained to the staff the only thing they could offer was “sorry”. Ear plugs may have helped
