Old-school sushi in Nakameguro. 5min-walk from the station. Nice and clean Japanese interior with two tables and long sushi counter. I’m not sure if the owners speak English or have English menu, so it’s pretty convenient to do ‘omakase’ or ‘let him choose’ style. Of course, you can order what you want to have, in my case were aji, ikura, some kind of shell fish and they were all good. We had one plate of Omakase Sashimi with five different kinds of fish, 13 pcs of sushi and couple beers. Totally around 5k JPY per person which is rather cheap for sushi dinner in Tokyo.

There are only two types of lunch: nigiri and chirashi, both ¥1,200.- I wanted to order special sushi, but the atmosphere was such that I could only order from the lunch menu. It's not that crowded, but the general seems busy. I asked for lukewarm sake, but the landlady said, ``We can't make warm sake for lunch.'' They say they can serve cold sake. I wonder if it's a hassle to warm the sake at lunch 🙄 When I looked at the menu inside the store, even the most expensive item was less than 3,000 yen, so I thought it was quite reasonable. It was a delicious lunch ☺

As others have written, this is a sushi restaurant where the prices vary greatly depending on the mood of the chef. When I was taken by a regular customer several times, it was 3,000 to 4,000 yen for a quick snack and a drink, but later on when I went there alone at night, I ended up paying about twice as much even though the food was less than that. did. There's no price list, and the price can't be called a rip-off, so it's frustrating, but I have no choice but to pay the price. It's probably best not to go in alone until the general knows your face.
