Introducing Haa-na Cafe, the charming spot on Aka Island. This café is located in the Kerama Islands, about 40 km away from Okinawa Main Island, and is truly a hidden paradise.
Haa-na Cafe is situated in a prime location overlooking the beautiful Maeha Beach on Aka Island. From the terrace seats, you can see the emerald green sea and blue sky stretching out, and sometimes even spot the graceful Kerama deer walking by. It is the perfect place to enjoy the leisurely island time.
The signature dish at Haa-na Cafe is pizza made with local ingredients. Highly recommended is the “Fuuchibaa (Mugwort) Pizza.” The intense mugwort aroma combined with melting cheese is exquisite, and it pairs perfectly with the crispy crust.
On hot days, the tropical smoothie made with mango, passion fruit, guava, etc., is highly recommended. The sweetness and refreshing taste of island fruits gently cool down your heated body.
The interior has 4 counter seats and 2 tables on the outdoor terrace, making it a quaint setup. There's no air conditioning, but the pleasant ocean breeze flows through. During busy times, you may have to wait a bit, but it’s also enjoyable to wait while soaking in the relaxed island atmosphere.
Dining at Haa-na Cafe is not just lunch; it's a unique Aka Island experience. The dishes made with local ingredients, breathtaking scenery, and leisurely flow of time all combine to create unforgettable memories.
It takes about 50 minutes by high-speed boat from Naha Port to Aka Island. Once you arrive on the island, you can reach the café by walking or cycling.
The time spent at Haa-na Cafe will surely be the highlight of your trip to Aka Island. Enjoy a memorable island time in the special space where nature and culture of the island intertwine.
